odd problems

So i recently bought a gvr4 and it only has a couple minor issues. One of those is that I cannot get the seat belt light to quit flashing.
Another is the back windows go down so slow but going up they don't have any problems... could that be from a bad motor? and the last thing is I can hear what sounds like belts squealing when the clutch pedal is out but when I have it in the sound goes away.

Help with any of this would be killer

The motor in the rear might just need to be pulled out and the cogs re-greased.Or it could be as simple as spraying some lubricating spray into the channels, just make sure it is a dry spray. I'd try that first.
The belt type sound from your clutch sounds like your throw out bearing is well on its way out. Real fun job to replace too!

Ok well someone just gave me a gvr4 specialists number so hopefully he'll be able to help me out with all this. I want to get the car ready for this summers race season. Then I can go back to e85 and make some nice numbers on the track!

The only info i found on alldata was the location of the "seat belt reminder buzzer."

"Behind Center Of I/P"

Whatever an i/p is.

I/P maybe means instrument panel /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The seatbelt reminder light flashes like that when the driver's shoulder strap of the automatic seatbelt is unfastened and wound back into the center console. I would check the retractor mechanism in the center console first to see if the switch in there is bad/worn. You'll also find the auto seatbelt control unit just underneath there too.

Do you have a copy of the factory service manual? If not, here's the link to both volumes:
--> Body & Electrical You'll find the entire seatbelt system details in this volume

--> Chassis & Mechanical

Good luck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

the back windows going down slow might be a simple fix, i removed the door panels and windows on mine the other day, when i put the windows back in there, the 2 screws that hold it to the mechanism that moves it up and down. If the window screws are tight and the window moved slightly forward or back it will go down slow and up slower. took me about couple mins to adjust each side with door panels off. Its a easy fix.

thanks man ill try that. hey im looking for a style of tail lights but i dont know what galant they come off of
