Anyone know the torque spec? The nut came loose and was leaking out oil. Luckily it didn't get all over the belt. You guys have any conclusion why it would come loose other than the nut wasn't tight? Do you think it has something to do internally where I would have to pull the motor out? Thanks in advance...

36-43 ft lb's.

That nut is a good application for some medium strength loc-tite (blue).

If you do use loc-tite, torque to the bottom of spec, as the loc-tite has some lubricity.

edit Be sure to check "keying" of the sprocket onto the shaft. If it was run loose, the "d" shape of the sprocket or shaft may have been damaged. If thr sprocket doesn't key well to the shaft, it will probably come loose again.

Be sure to spin the assembly by hand and check for smoothness of rotation. The balance shaft bearings may be on their way out.
