KNOCK SENSORS

Tried getting a GP Sorensen Knock Sensor like in the "How to" post. Advance Auto doesn't carry it anymore. They're selling a BWD brand at $55. Another part store here sells a Standard brand for $129. Also, I called Mitsu. the 1st dealer quoted me a price of $106.76 but didn't have it in stock. He gave me the # to another area dealer that he saw that had it. Called 2nd dealer only one available at an increase of $136.38 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Has anyone ever used this BWD brand sensor from Advance for $55?

Bosch knock sensor for sale locally. Thats what I'm using.

Edit: Oops. Sold but I bet he could get you another.

Yes it is an oem mitsu sensor boxed in a bwd box, It works just great and is a great deal.
I am 100% sure of this.

Bwd does not make that sensor so they buy from mitsu in bulk and sell @ a loss but is made up in other places, This way they can offer a wider range of products.

fyi Coilpack and ignitor are also oem mitsu as well and are priced very well.
bwd gp sorenson are oem mitsu rebox on these 3 items from advance.

You are correct. I got the BWD from Advance and I compared the part #'s and wire colors to the oem one off the car. These sensors are exactly the same. The BWD has a mitsu sticker on it aswell. Not bad for 55 bucks.
