I know there is a difference in the two of them but can someone either explain the difference or post a link that does? I've got a nice, fairly new Bosch unit that was in my GVR4 for a little while. I'm planning on putting it in the 1990 1G that I have apart ( THREAD ) but I'm getting conflicting info based on part numbers.

Bosch lists part number 13598 for both 1990 and 1991.

Denso lists part number 234-4643 for 1990 DSMs and 234-4007 for 1991's.

I'm guessing that the voltage output is slightly different for the two different model years but I'm concerned that the wrong sensor would skew the fuel trims' accuracy.

Thoughts?

Looks like the plugs are different.

1990 = # 24533
1991 = #24225

I can check my ntk book on monday to see if the universal type is the same for both.

Weird. Maybe the Bosch one has the pins located so that they could reach either 1990 or 1991 and up. /ubbthreads/images//graemlins/dunno.gif

Thanks G.

I have always used the 90 style ever since I found out they have more holes and tend to read more accurately and be more responsive. I guess Mitsu started cheaping out in 91.

Interesting. I grabbed the 1991 O2 sensor that I'm planning to use and tried it on the 1990 Talon harness. It fits perfectly on the 1990 connector so that connector won't be an issue.

The only difference i am seeing is the 1990 has more holes & has a 755mm wire length & the 1991 has a 730mm wire & fewer holes.

So it is recommended to use the '90 than, correct?! With more holes and longer harness wire I don't see another route...

Alright. I'll try the 1991 sensor since I have a nearly new one in the 2G O2 housing that I want to use on the Talon.

Thanks!
