I have a few questions .... I searched but couldn't find what I needed.

Does anybody have a wright up on the 5 lug conversion?

What do I need ... I have come across a wrecked 90 1g ... do the 5 lug 3 bolt difs use the same axels as the 5 lug 4 bolt?

any help is appreciated

Thanks

thank you for that .... is there any advantage to the 5 lug over the 4 lug??? I was under the assumption that you had to have the 5 lug to get the 4 bolt diff.... I now believe you dont need to.

again thanks for your help

^^ i believe so, as you need the axles and cups to do the conversion anyways.

Correct. In my Galant I have a 4 bolt LSD with 4 lugs.

Honda wheels aren't really ideal, unless you don't want wider than roughly a 225 width tire. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif If skinny tires are your thing, have at it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

IMO, best wheels and tires to get for our car is those for the rear of 240sx.

They are also 4-lugs, and the offset matches very well to our car.
I have 17x8 4x114 with 38mm offset that I found on ebay from a 240sx owner.
I run 245/40/17 tires, which is plenty wide.

I don't think the hubs off a '90 are any different than those off a '91+, and if that's the case, yes, you can use them.

Only difference is no provision for ABS. If you are removing that, they will work fine.

I will be putting non-ABS fwd knuckles and hubs on 855 this spring since I removed the ABS last fall.

So now that I have removed my ABS, I can simply remove the whole assembly off a DSM? Knuckle and all for front and rear? Yes I plan on replacing all tie rod ends, ball joints, and getting an alignment.
