Who's changed them out? How bad is it?

Anything besides T-case, exhaust, drive shaft, and heat shield?

Been a while, but I would say you could leave the t-case if you drop the drive shaft tail end from the diff flange. In fact, I don't recall removing the drive shaft. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I remember having a hard time re-installing the little bolt holding the cable to the top of either the crossmember or the rear trailing arm (not sure which).

Pretty simple to do if the heat shields aren't on. otherwise if the bolts aren't in horrible shape you can usually get a gear wrench in their. I don't remember removing anything of the way really.
