I don't recall this happening before. Just saw it on my way in. Flutters between 21-23 psi or so. Haven't pulled a log yet, so not sure what the car is actually seeing off the omnibar.

Thoughts? Just the way mechanical gauges are sometimes? Wrong boost source? I'm t'ed off the manifold using the same line that goes to the FPR.

In anycase, there was no mechanical or drivability issue that I perceived. Just the needle having a spasm at WoT boost.

Normal operation. Smaller the turbo, the more pronounced. The more inferior the wastegate control (internal vs external and big versus small) the more pronounced.

Basically, if your drive pressures suck, a mechanical gauge will jump around. The higher the sampling rate your datalogger has the easier it will be to see it as well. Dsmlink is not very fast or powerful so it does not show how crazy things really are. A racepak, aem, haltec, whathaveyou all show very rapid up and down spikes no matter how awesome the setup is. Just the way the harmonics are. Valves opening and closing and pistons moving up and down.

^Sounds about right to me. If you are worried about the integrity of the gauge i suppose you could hook it up to a compressor with a regulator/gauge to get a rough idea of its health.

I've got the display for my MAP sensor setup to read to the tenth. It has pretty good resolution, and as a result, it's never sitting still.
