Anybody know a thread to check timing? I'm having difficulties. Really need to know steps.

Thanks, and I'm confused on what to do as in unplugging the cap from some where on 5th image next to a battery

I imagine that's for a DSM, I am unsure where it is on a VR4. Look around! Or maybe it is different, I haven't done it, sorry.
