I was wondering if anyone knows the similarities and differences between a 1G DSM/VR4 and a Evo 8 ignition system. Reason being is I have an HKS DLI Type II and would like to see if it would be plausible to have it work on my VR4.

Thanks,
Alan

Well after doing some research here is what I found:

It seems that main difference is that the power transitor for a DSM is located outside of the coilpack, while for an Evo 8 it is located inside of the coilpack.

It looks like I will be able to use the HKS DLI Type II by bypassing the transitor and using a COP setup for an EVO.
