What would you use for OBD diagnostics for 1991 Galant? I've used OBDWiz and other types of software with OBD2-USB cable for 1996+ vehicles. Would it work if I get a Mitsubishi OBD1 (12 pin) to OBD2 (16 pin) adapter?

Most people use a datalogger, either home made or by purchasing one premade. You can hook it up to a palm pilot and keep it in your car, or do what I do and hook it up to your laptop if it is a USB cable. It makes it so you can read codes, log most the sensors with various programs (TMOlogger, Tunerpro, Jackal, etc.), and use it to fine tune your car. The diagnostic plug is also called an ALDL 12-pin connector
