Well, I've had the tps cel for awhile now and all this time I thought it was the ecu. I just got a different ecu and the cel is sill there. I've already changed the tps sensor and check the wires going in upto behind the manifold. What else should I check?

That there isn't a break on the sensor wire going to the ECU, that the connector has ground and 5v reference signal. Check the library for the TPS wiring PDF and cross reference it back to the GVR4 ECU pinout. Then check resistance between those two points. Also check resistance on the reference wire to the ECU pin and ground to point 7, passenger kick panel.

It's only 3 wires. 2 of them are shared (+5v and ground) with other sensors and one is discrete or at least it can be. The TPS signal wire actually runs up into the dash through the subharness, I am not sure exactly why, but you can run it straight to the ECU if you like.
