I'm not looking to buy, but that's pretty awesome that you were able to work a deal with them!

How would the Teins compare with the BCs you offer?

Well I haven't drove a GVR4 with the HA kit before. So can't really give you a good feed back. I have BC's on my car now. The ride is a bit firm for me. Other than that no problems. Build quality would be better from Tein. Made in Japan. I have always liked Tein coilovers over any. So I spoke with Tein when they visited my shop about making them for the GVR4 again. He was very happy to help. Took a little bit of convincing them, but they are ready to build them now. Just need 4 guys to get involved.

I liked my HA's but because the bodies are not adjustable you run into an issue with lack of compression travel if you wanna lower the car a significant amount. Lower the car too much up front and you're riding the bumpstops. You can find old pics of my car when I had the Teins it wasn't super low but I bottomed when hitting large bumps. It was frustrating. That's why I sold them and picked up my JICs.

I'd love for them to build one of their threaded body coilovers for our cars so that ride height can be adjusted separate from spring perch so that compression travel isn't lost. Monotube would be nice as well.

What BC kit are you currently on, Charles?

@ $1,550 You can get a custom spec'd set of 441 road race coilovers. Probably cheaper at your dealer price. Seems the Tein would be a step down from that at a slight markup in price.

Is this Tein kit custom valved or something? Do you have any other details on the buildout?

I've been looking at suspension options, since Mark used up the last of the JIC rebuild parts

I am on BC BR right now.

They are being set to the same spec as they made in the past. Being build in Japan. If we can get 5 kits sold they will build them for us. These will not be on the shelf coilover kit. Only custom ordered in 5 sets of more.

Whatever happened to the TEIN coil over collaboration? Sorry, I know it a post from 3 years ago but I am curious. Thank you.

I think to the point of others, there are equally good or better options available now, since it's not 1999 anymore.

If you're spending more money than BC/Feals, you might as well go all in on some Ohlins. Yes, I'm aware that it says 1g, but for the price, I'm sure John can spec them appropriately for a Galant.
