I didn't know there was a "Basic Edition". I purchased one, and the turbo looks great. It has FP's own cast iron turbine housing, which is smooth on the inside, so no need for porting, honed out for larger turbine wheel. It has the waste-gate installed, which was $50 more. I think all turbos should come with a waste-gate w/o being charged for it. The compressor housing looks great as well. Obviously it's been honed out to accommodate the large compressor wheel. Overall the turbo looks great and should perform great.
