Dont the US-spec valve covers show "2000" rather than 16 valve?

Yup and "16 VALVE" rather than MITSUBISHI.

^^ Yeah, only if you are looking at a valve cover that originally came on a DSM!

VR4 ones are like the one pictured in ths thread, but technically all VR4 ones are "JDM".

Yes but all Galant VR4's made are from Japan so they got the "JDM" valve cover.

I thought the jdm red top valve cover from 89 jdm vr4 didn't have the Diamond star before the Mitsubishi logo. The one that I had was like that at least
