Anyone in Central Texas

I just purchase a 91 VR4 but I need some direction on the best way forward with a reliable streetable build anywhwere between 500-550hp. Also, I would like to address some must do upgrades to increase the driving experience.

I'm sure you could spend the first year+ on maintenance alone. If I could do it all over again, I'd do FMIC, exhaust, suspension before I added any boost. I'd imaging the brakes could use a little help. Also, 350-400HP is a lot of a fun in a Galant VR4. Don't need to shoot for the 500+ mark, just yet.
