Cad file for camber plates?

Anyone have a file for cad to make camber caster plates? I found a company takes files and laser cuts part for a reasonable price.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

I have ground control camber/caster plates on my 92 talon. They fit fine, might have to drill 1 hole to fit them. I get 5* of caster out of them

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

I have some "domed" Tien plates I would donate for someone to use as a template, I only ask that I get a set in return. These could be flattened out and templated, I just don't trust using them as they are starting to crack.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

Yeesh. I take it you bottomed out the front a few times with those plates?

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

I didn't, the PO of 148/1000 did. The AGXs these were used on were set to the lowest setting for the GC coil-overs. Needless to say, the struts were blown also.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

Ouch.

I am guessing that Tektic will take this on, but if not, I'd be interested in using them as a template to have some made.

Either way works for me.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

How quick do you want it? I've been thinking about putting together a set of custom coilovers using the K-sport camber plates I bought years ago. The problem is, they are currently installed and I'm not super motivated to get the project done right now. If nothing turns up, I'll model them up when I get them off.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

How ever fast you can do it. I am not using them currently, since they have a crack and are domed. They could be flattened, but I dont want to send my struts through the hood.

Lost the drawing so getting it redrawn...

Needs some time though...

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

I have dsm camber plates (the camber slots would need to be rotated 90 degrees for galants unless you want them to be caster plates) that I could donate to the cause.

Thank you Allan. There's a link in the first post if you could could you send them the file and ask for a quote?

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

Working in solid works now, anyone have measurements for the hole spacing? I have a few designs I'm thinking up.

Same. If someone gets me a drawing with dimensions I can model it and could 3D print you a prototype to test fit.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

Thank you again. I drew up a pretty decent camber/ caster plate. Does anyone know a good source for spherical bearing plates? The bottom plate with the cup a bearing gets pressed in to it.

I drew up a 5 piece system with off the shelf radial and spherical bearings. It would be easier to get made if I just needed to make the one plate though.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

The plate with the cup/bearing in it is going to be a custom made part. Either that or source one from a manufacturer that will sell just that and design your camber plate to be compatible with it.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

If TEIN still has them, they would be a good source. My plates were TEIN, they just got domes from the PO running at full drop and definitely bottoming the suspension out. We found evidence of it from the undercarriage,

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

if anybody has tein or cusco bearing housings for any car, these are universal, I believe.

and will fit.

the drawing i provided for a 6g galant-specific cusco plate.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

I've reached out to a few places for parts an most have just said no. Pretty lame. I guess I'll be looking to make some? I'll try Cusco first. Thanks.

They list for $290 and have no caster adjustment.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

"Caster"

where should I spend my $2 ? Lol

Hey Tom how thick were those tein plates? I want to make sure mine don't dome like that.

Re: Cad file for camber plates?

1/4 - 3/8 inch in thickness. I think anything will dome if you bottom out the suspension as much as the PO did. We even found dents in the under-body near where the sub-frame mounted, so it saw some serious hits.
