Whats that little white wire on the alternator wiring harness? It comes out of the harness underneath the grounding bracket for the alternator.

I'm telling you its not. I know what the wire looks like you just can't see it in the picture.

The wire I'm holding wouldn't be long enough anyway, it protrudes out of the harness below the grounding bracket that bolts on the alternator.

I am not sure but it looks like it would be the oil pressure switch but with out looking at it I am not sure but the diagram might help.

Didn't DSM's have2 wires for their oil pressure sender? one for the gauge and another for the dummy-light? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

maybe check it for voltage while the engine is running?

What was it? The oil pressure wire? I hare the same wire going nowhere also.

The gauge sender is the one under the crank pulley. The dummy light sender is under the alt facing towards the radiator.
