ok, i did a little searching but maybe the topic is too simple. what exactly is a boost leak what are symptoms of boost leak and how do you perform a boost leak test? thanks in advance.

lol just as it sounds, there is boost pressure lost at some point in the system. you should be checking your boost/vacuum lines regularly. any old or cracked hose can be an easy point for boost to be lost. any cuts/tears in intake piping ect.

you can either buy a boost leak tester or make one. this is on a scooby, but same principal

haha well yea i kinda guessed that a boost leak is exactly what it sounds like. but would a boost leak happen only after the turbo since thats where the boost is?

But you should also ensure that there are no 'leaks' in the intake system prior to the turbo if you are using the MAF/MAS. Any unmetered air entering the system post MAF/MAS could mess up your A/F ratio and cause you to run lean.
