Using a 7-bolt 4G63 on GGSX

I have a '90 GGSX that the rings are starting to go bad on. I found a 7 bolt 4G63 engine for a decent price and was wondering if I were to do an engine swap what would need to be done to get it to work with my car. I know the 6 bolts are better because they don't have crankwalk, but would that really matter as my car is all stock and I don't intend to do any major performance mods? Thanks in advance!

You need to make sure it is a 1g 7 bolt or it won't have provision for the front roll stopper bracket (engine mount).

No. That is a 2g.

For that price, you could get a 6 bolt turbo motor.

Where at? I haven't seen motors that cheap anywhere. Mind you I'm not looking to spend a lot of money to get one rebuilt, which is why I was looking for low mileage ones.

A rebuild can be cheaper than a "low" mileage unit sometimes.

I had my short block and head redone with some small goodies for $900. Add a gasket kit and an afternoon and youre in business.
