Is a 1g t/e/l radiator fan the same as a gvr4 radiator fan? i noticed that the 1g t/e/l fan doesn't have the resistor box wired in to the harness. Was also wondering if i could swap the fan motor from a 1g t/e/l fan to the plastic housing of a gvr4 radiator fan please I need some help lol!!

A fan is a fan for the most part. Connect it to switched 12VDC and it should run. You will probably have to swap out just the motors between them, as you won't be able to just bolt up the DSM fans. (The turbo gets in the way and the radiator itself is a different size.)

Hope this helps.

So old post Necro but...

If I'm using a 4 pin dsm fan can I just de-pin the galant 6 pin connector and add the resistor pins to the harness? I didn't look to close at the wire colors(because filthy) Does anyone have more info on process?

Edit: found this thread
last post on fan wiring
