The three white connectors at the bottom. Any help on where these go would be greatly appreciated. I was planning on sitting down with those service manuals for both the eclipse and galant and trying to get this firgured out, but I don't have time tonight. I'll get after it maybe tomorrow. Maybe someone else will recognize them andn where their home is.
There is an 8 pin connector with large pins and wires. I'm assuming it's powers and grounds for the ecu. And I think the larger connector has everything for the cluster. CEL, tach, coolant temp and whatnot. I just don't know where they go in the car. My car has nothing behind the dash, so you'd think this would be easy....

IIRC, those connectors are the mating half for 3 connectors which are found on the subframe bar that supports the dash.
Their location is somewhat accessible by reaching into the right side speaker area (reomve the speaker cover & speaker)

I know some versions of the 89-93 USDM Galant have 3 connectors & some have 2 connectors.

I hope this helps.

I was afraid of that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif that's what I found in the galant service manual.
My car has nothing of the sort. No harness over there at all.

Here's a little bit of info from when I was wondering about those same connectors:

FWIW I ended up just taking wires from the JDM harness to repair the busted ones on mine. It was easier than figuring out all the differences and pinouts, so I can't help with how exactly those connectors are wires, sorry.

Those connectors carry the starter solenoid trigger, cruise, wiper and washers, and all of the i/o from the ecu to the datalink connector, they are also involved in power and ignition routing out from the fuse box in the engine bay.

If its and auto there are a load more services run through there.

If you are furtling around in the wiring you'll be needing a good idea of what runs through there!

Hope this helps

Terrible news... these connectors no longer exist on my car.... looking at the wiring diagram, I decided to follow the wire for the cel from the back of the cluster. according to the diagram, it travels from the cluster, through of the 3 connectors in question, then to the ecu. its cut 2 inches away from the cluster connector along with a few others. right now, I'm hating this cage. It's making it very difficult to look for wires under the dash. I guess its time to pull the dash out, sit down with this factory service manual and get after it.

Last night I sat down the the wiring diagrams and wrote where almost every pin goes in the magical 3 white connectors. yess. Now to find someone that will cut those 3 connectors off there body harness, then I can start building. I accounted for every pin in the 8 pin with large wires. I found all but one pic on the larger 20 pin and the other I found all but one. But it's cruise and electronic power steering crap that I don't care about. I'd take a pic of my diagrams, but my hand writing it terrible and no one would even be able to read it.
