So here is an update on the car.

1. Attempted to adjust timing...car idles at 800 but only starts with starting fluid. Also hooking up A/F to see if car is running to rich....

2. All Turn signals light up, rear signals pulse when trying to make do right or left. Front do nothing. help?

3. I have 3 ecu's but only one of them should work for my car. How do I know a dsm ecu is a turbo 5spd manual ecu?

4. Rear studs are ALL stripped. debating on buying new 4 lug spindles or just buying 5 lug spindles and upgrading. DSM partout has them the same price at $50. still haven't decided what to do...

in three weeks I'll have money to finally register and insure the car..trying to finish all the little things before then.

Hey guys

Still fighting a high idle...I've adjusted the BISS properly to not really get anywhere. I recieved a timing belt cover today and will have the engine timed by the end of the week.

1. Any input on why my coolant temp ranges from 7 to 15 degF?
2. Any suggestions for fighting a car running very rich? I have about 35 to 40 psi when I run..is that too much for my stock fuel regulator?

but there has been progress.....1662 moving! and yes I stall it at the end...thought I was in reverse but it is really 4th.....Let me know if anything sounds out of place.

updates to come

Thank you!

7-15F? That sounds like either a bad coolant temp sensor, or a bad thermostat. That could very well be your high idle problem, if the computer thinks it is that cold, or it is that cold, it will stay in fast idle mode till it warms up.
