Last winter I finally got around to installing my sheetmetal intake manifold and JMF Coil Pack Bracket. I saw some members in the past had mounted coilpacks on or near the shocktower or even the firewall. In my case, I just wanted to sorta clean the clutter of the engine bay while retaining my NGK spark plug wires. Therefore I wound up purchasing the jmf unit (DSM-CPBKT-00]).

Prior to purchasing, I was suprised to find a few internet sites had indicated that it wasn't possible to retain the factory AC. After debate and review of the fitment, I couldn't see why it wouldn't fit. Right there against the back of the block before the AC compressor. Sure enough, it fit just fine ableit I did have to bend the bracket down some about, 1/4" to clear the AMS plenum which is pretty damn large. I'm willing to bet that if it was a Magnus or Venum etc. I probably wouldn't have had to touch the bracket at all.

In hinesight I regret not having drafted a proper writeup but for reference, the coilpack screws on the original coilpack, will thread and fit the jmf unit just fine. You could also mount the igniter onto the jmf unit but I felt it was too tight of a fit and opted to mount it on the lower timing cover.

Thats about it. I just wanted to share this to anyone who is considering buying this unit.

Any pics of how you mounted it?

Thanks for the info, I've always wondered if that bracket would work while retaining the A/C. I wonder if the fitment would be the same using the Magnus Race intake?

Not having seen the new Magnus intake in person, I wouldn't see a reason why it wouldn't fit. By far, the AMS plenum has to be one of the largest mass market manifolds out there. If it can fit, I'm sure any other manifold will fit just fine.

I'm still planning to take pictures shortly.
