Is the EQ/Input radio a direct swap for the CD player?

My car has the stock CD player. Is the EQ/Input unit a direct swap? If possible I'd like to pick one up to use the input feature.

I know I could do the same thing with an aftermarket headunit, but I'd rather keep it stock and don't want to use a cassette tape adapter.
