I've been piecing together my galant for a little while now and today I installed the trans but ran into a couple issues. From the searching I've done the trans is from a 1g awd talon, # W5M332NPXV; # below is SL2927. The first issue I ran into is that the front bolt for the T-case doesn't quite line up with the hole in the trans. Its really close but off far enough I cant thread it into the hole. My next issue is the mount bracket. The bracket I picked up has a 22-H stamped in it which from the reading I've done is correct. But the bolt holes are way off for the trans. Can I get some help figuring out what trans this or what the correct mount is.

It is possible at some point your mid-case was replaced? If so, looks like it could have been replaced with one that fit but wasn't from the same year/model transmission.

That's very well possible. I don't have any history of this trans. Just picked it up from a guy a few months ago and he claimed to know nothing about it. I have a feeling I'm going to end up having to weld up a hole and redrilling it on the bracket.

Or the clutch housing was changed so it appears by the number to be a DSM trans.
