The wheel spin will kill your 60' but not your trap. Something is not right.

A couple of changes in this update - GalantVR41062 has now told us "na na na na you will never get this" by jumping up to the fastest 1/4 mile Galant VR4 in the world (He hasn't quite hit 220mph on the salt flats yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif), Brisvr4 moves up 1 place and mistavr4 is throwing down the gauntlet to garfieldwright... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Should be interesting to see how long things stay as they are - rlturbo35 put down 1004.7 HP at the wheels but has dissapeared, in true Supra dyno queen style /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif *fish* *fish*

Update for GizmoVR4, this should jump him from 11th place up to 6th place (oddly enough, displacing me!):
Island Dragway Sat Sep 17th 2011:

1.500 60'
4.368 330'
6.700 @ 106.50 1/8
8.701 1000'
10.414 @ 132.36 1/4

E85 fuel.
M&H drag slicks (tiny 23.5x8x15").
Automatic awd trans. reflashed converter.
no nitrous.
2.3L bottom end, 1G head, HKS 280* cams, GIZMO intake manifold.
Turbo is a GT73R w/ T3 turbine side.
Spearco Air/water ic

car is HEAVY...leather seats, sunroof, elec windows and locks, full interior, heat, swaybars, steel shocks, all steel usdm body, stock fuel tank, full exhaust...all still there. Plus rollbar and air/water ic that add weight. It wouldn't surprise me that the car is 3400+lb with driver. The only weight loss is the bumper supports and AC & PS are gone. Most of the other mods actually made the car heavier!

We had it at about 34psi of boost and it was out of fuel. He's going to update the injectors to 2150's and add a fuel cell/external pump, and -8 lines which should enable us to up the boost and make more power. Also looking at taller tires to keep it from having to shift into overdrive. Shooting for a 9.9 ET.

Will scan timeslip and post video once I get to it.

94 fuel.
Street tire (720 treadwear).
Automatic awd trans, translab shift kit, high stall converter (3800rpm), base pressure increase.
no nitrous.

Full weight car (3575 lbs)

There should be an "altitude" handicap involved somehow? maybe..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

EDIT: I've had few so this is probably a useless statement.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Well my car is white, it must of missed the memo to be slow. And are Turbo cars are not affected as much as NA cars running in higher altitude. But if you are pushing the limits of your setup at low altitude then run at high altitude you would see a difference.

I think that is backwards.

If you are pushing the limits of your setup at high altitude, you won't see any gains at lower altitude.

You should always see a decrease in performance when going from lower to higher altitude.

This is based on a vehicle running sea level-ish versus "a mile high"(Denver, CO), and making no changes. Same boost, same cams, same CR, same injectors, same tune. I would love to discuss further if there are folks who disagree. I do feel that if that is the case, we should start a new thread so as not to clutter this 'stickied' thread.

Agreed to a point only because boost is in play. N/A cars will always run stronger at sea level. Seems to me that if your car was maxed at say 700 awhp pushing 40 psi, same combo might make same power at 36 psi or so at sea level.

Yay, nay?
