EVO front suspension fitment

Quick question... When swapping in the EVO front suspension, if Using the stock top hat then which upper spring perch to use? The EVO one or the stock one? Thanks... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Use the perch to match the spring, I.E. EVO spring= EVO top hat.

I've used both with EVO springs and it's worked, but it's better to match them.

Isn't that need to re gill some mount holes on the strut tower? Wasn't thinking of doing that though.

Not 100% familiar with the Evo design, but the VR4 original has a separate spring seat with the top hat or insulator mount another piece on top of that. Is the Evo stock stuff separate? Normally is to accommodate rotation of the strut with stationary insulator. So you should be able to use the Evo spring seat with VR4 insulator on top of it.

All true. Use the evo perch with VR4 top hat. Or redrill and use the EVO top hats for better suspension feel.
