ENGINE OIL?..

Hi guys...
my question is what is,what is the best motor oil for 4g63 turbo ... 0w30 ...5w30 or 10w40....???

The weight of the oil you use will depend on your climate, mileage of motor, where you drive mostly, and how you drive it.

IMO - a 10/30 is a good all around weight.

10w30 does seem to be the overall preferred choice.

I use 10w30 in my street car and 5w50 in my race car. Both synthetic. I have seen many people who have tried 5w30 have the oil light on at idle and the lifters tick more.

Elf 5W40 full synthetic here with genuine Mitsu filter. Takes about 5-6,000kms for the lifter tick to come back and that's when I know it's due for another oil change.

 

Think about 5W50 Fully Synthetic. .Now the engine are whit 10w40 semi synthetic .....but i wanna try 5w50...or 5w40....

Depends on the tolerances.

Is it a stock motor or rebuilt?

0-30 10-40 for stock imo... depending on climate and milage.

For a stock motor, probably nothing lighter than 10W30 IMHO

Using Mobil 1 0w40 and 5w50 (in a 50-50 mix).

Shell Rotella-T 15w40, year round, mitsubishi filter, every 1500-2k (severe maintanence schedule)

high in zinc content which is key, and it dosent break down very easily. 5/10w30 breaks down to nothing way too fast.

Hmm ... it is very difficult to choose a engine oil. My car was NON turbo 4g63 .... but it is now turbocharged. working pressure of 0.8 bar. and I want to choose the right oil ...
The Engine is in perfect condition ...
The climate here in Bulgaria is quite nice ... summer reaches 35-38 degrees ... winter is 0, minus 10 degrees sometimes ... but I do not drive the car during winter.
