Well, the weather was pretty much a repeat of last year, but once again, it didn't keep a few of us from making it out to East Coast MOD this year. I saw blackvr4 and desant78 again, but also got to meet tektic and dkvr4. The weather kinda sucked, but it was dry the majority of the time we were outside at the event, which was good. My car ran awesome during the 4 hour round trip, which was the biggest perk for me. Afterwards, tektic and I stopped by desant78's garage to shoot the sh*t for a while. Overall, it was a great time.

The VR-4 count was 4, including mine. There were probably only a dozen or so 1Gs, 2Gs, and GVR-4s combined. There was of course, no shortage of Evos sporting the typical cookie cutter carbon fiber and bolt-on bits. I'd say the turnout was a bit less than last year, probably because of all the hurricane warnings in the area.

Here's the photo dump of the day.

Nice shots. Is that a wooden intake spacer on that teal 1g eagle?

Ill post mine up in the morning.

No heat soak and extra long runners. Not a bad idea. I'm just surprised I didn't notice it.

Most phenolic spacers are that raw color which resembles wood. I had a carb adapter for my old Kp61 to get rid of the crappy aisin carb to weber and it looked wooden. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

Nah, pretty sure it was definitely wood. That's the whole reason I took a picture of it.

I want to know where dustyduff was. That bastard is local and has punked out 2 years in a row now. His car is one of my all time faves, and I really want to see it!

Looks like a decent turnout. I was supposed to go, but with the weather and work, I didn't a chance until almost noon. Good to see a few VR4's there still. Maybe next year I'll venture out.

On a side note, I know it's the kid ricer in me speaking, but I want an obnoxious Evo X, or AWD swapped 8G Galant/4gen Eclipse with a big huge carbon wing, splitters, skirts, etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Toyota trucks are huge in the MIddle East. Everything is a Toyota Hilux, 98% are white 4-doors.
