I'm looking to run my car posibly on E-85. I'm just don't know what the fuel system requirements are. I currently have -6 line feeding an aem fuel rail by a 255hp fuel pump. My goal is mid 11, so 450-500 hp. What injectors should I get to handel the e-85?

I'd run the FIC Blue Max injectors. I'm running 1650cc's now with an FP3052 on E85 and there's plenty of injector left to grow.

Out the pump for $2.29/gal here. Only one place local to me to get it but luckily that place is 1/2 mile down the road from my shop /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Its $2.20 where I am at, when they have it. I was having to make 70 mile round trips for E85 (it was even cheaper at this location). Hopefully when the car is back on the road, the two stations near me have their sh*t figured out.

You will probably want to add an inline pump. I put a second Walbro 255 between the fuel filter and the rail.

With those two pumps and 1250s, I should be good for about 500awhp.

E85 is the best bang for your buck now in days. To the OP your fuel system is great. I would recommend a larger pump if you get up to 500 horse, mostly just to be safe. E85 will take an additional 30% more fuel to run at the same air/fuel ratio.

It is not common down here in VICTORIA / AUSTRALIA.

Only a handful of stations provide it.

I've also been told the consistancy of the fuel isn't very good (from the pump).

Right, in the US E85 can vary amounts of gas to ethanol, If you read the stickers on the pump it says MAXIMUM ethanol content, not minimum. that's why its best to tune and continue to use the same station. It's a bit more consistent.

FIC makes 1150's 1250's 1350's 1450's 1550's 1650's 1750's 1850's. I have and am going to be running the 1450's so I can have better drive ability on pump gas over the 1600's.

The amount also changes with the seasons. Ethanol sucks at cold starts so they add more gas as it gets colder. It may not matter as much down under, but it does a lot here in MN. Someone posted a schedule of the blends on the local dsm site. I'll try and find it when I get home.

E85 sucks ass. It makes your car get shitty gas mileage. Oh and when you press the gas all the way to the floor its makes the car go all over the place. I just don't get it.

Some places don't switch even when they say they do. Main reason is they don't sell enough e85 in a year to empty there tank. The two places I buy around here have e85 year around.

I am running 1000cc with single pump 255. My friend who is making 550 he is running twin 255 and 1450cc.

Stuff is great, and cant beat the price. 2,40 a gallon considering that 91 is over 3,40 right now.

Getting it retuned on monday and will post up numbers in Anything goes because its not GVR4.
