Custom Fiber Glass Hood?

A guy on the Galant VR-4 Facebook group posting a photo of his car with this amazing hood. Said he got it from someone on this forum.




Anyone know who made this hood or who owned this previously? I really want to get this style hood for mine to complete the AMG look.

If you do get it you'll have to remove it to complete the "AMG look" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think that's a one off - an Evo 3 hump molded onto a (standard?) bonnet. I think this is off a dark blue car, can't think who though.

Just an FYI, but the owner is a moderator on here & has posted the car & its updates a few times.

That hood is more unicorn than AMG parts & I have heard there is fewer than 20 that were made.

I can't remember who I bought the hood from. It was a few years ago . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bawling.gif

If I thought people here wanted these and would put up the money and I could find someone locally here to make them I would be willing to use mine as a "mold maker" but from what I have seen in the past and the things that have happened with doing these types of things someone always gets screwed in the end.

And Saying completing the AMG look was probably the wrong phrasing since it will indeed not be an original AMG bonnet. Good point.

Cusco made a fiberglass hood but those are pretty rare.

After all these years watching this car develop from a far, I have only just noticed you didn't use the AMG wing either. Was that a personal choice or have you just not located one yet?

I have a wing I just couldn't bring myself to put it on the car. I really don't know why, there was just something I didn't care for.

I just picked up another set of AMG sides for my RHD car. Maybe I'll put the AMG wing up for sale I'm just not sure yet.

Man I've been wanting an AMG wing for the longest time. Atleast post it in the for sale section with some huge price tag so people who REALLY want it can get it. An AMG wing is one of the last things that want to add to Samara cosmetic wise.

It has a stupid high price tag on it lol I got it 6-7 years ago when you only saw pics of them on the Internet and finding one was impossible . That being said I paid stupid money for it and this is the reason I have never put it up for sale ...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That's all relative to who you are selling it too. The copies are going for $400 plus shipping at the moment. It all depends how bad you want it, and I want it bad!
