Cir-Clip really needed for Rear CV Axle Spline?

Hello Gvr4.org

I did a very stupid thing the past weekend, I was swapping in a auto LSD rear diff and performing a 4 bolt swap at the same time. When I went to install the CV axle into the diff, I must have went a little crooked (still not sure how this happened) but I bent the cir-clip that is used to keep the spline in the rear diff. This made the clip un-usable, so I removed it and the CV easily was installed after. The other CV shaft with cir-clip was easily installed.

So this is my problem, I don't want to buy another axle just for the cir-clip (external clip), but don't know where I can easily just purchase the clip.

1. Is this needed? ( I assume so with suspension travel)
2. Where can I find one?
3. Does anyone have one for sale?

p.s. sorry if I am calling the cir-clip by the wrong name.

thanks in advance!

Axle will push out of housing without it. Bad day. You can try the dealer for it, other wise, take the other side off and go to a parts store, you should be able to match it up.
