Can we have a new rule?

NSFW post should be labeled as such. To me, this seems like an obvious thing to do. I remember about a month ago I opened up a post not noticing who post it AT WORK. I was able to close to before anyone else saw it, but still... I feel like people are trying to sneak porn post on this forum. The internet is filled with porn, but why does it have to make it on the Galant VR4 forum?

Personal attacks are also ruining the forums. It's called forum trolling and I don't know why it's gotten so bad on Galantvr4.org

This forum doesn't seem to be about the Galant VR4 so much anymore. Am I really the only one who cares about that?

Nah man I've noticed it too. Seems pissing contest are a regular thing on here now. This used to be one of the more mature car forums but not anymore.

NSFW is an unwritten rule and usually a mod week go modify the title. But where the mods?

As far as trolling and what not. Just ignore it, it's isolated in particular threads.

As far as personal attacks...I guess you are right, there has been a lot lately, but in reality we are still a very mature and intelligent group. I don't think that the trolling is a new thing here though. It is just more front page lately. Furthermore, I feel like us calling people out on their stupidity is what keeps this an intelligent group. Normally if someone posts something dumb, we advise them how to fix it and how to use the search feature...only when they fight back or take no criticism does the trolling begin. NSFW is obvious and should be followed.

^This times a million.

The only members (if you can even call those who never actually contribute here members) I've ever seen get "personally attacked" were those who brought it on themselves. Say or do something dumb, and the community will probably let you know. I know it's happened to me personally, so it's not the end of the world when it happens. It's how you respond to the criticism here that decides how pleasant your future stay will be. For the most part, if you stay out of the anything goes section, you will avoid trolling, personal attacks and NSFW content all together.

I keep seeing people bring up the mods not being proactive enough here on the forums, and I completely disagree. Whether by coincidence or by policy, the mods are pretty hands off here, and I think that's how it should be. This is the ONLY forum I've ever been on where the mods seem to stay out of all the pissing contests between members, and that's f***ing rare. I believe this is the key to keeping this place impartial, and allowing the more outspoken members (you know who we are) to voice opinions without fearing retribution from some mod who has a hard-on for whichever party they may favor.

It's pretty rare for someone to get the ban hammer, and as you've all seen as of late, you have to do some pretty dumb things (like turn this place into a virtual church) before you get hit with it. The mods are doing their job if you ask me. They let the forum police itself, and give idiots the boot when shits gets wayyyyyy out of hand. Until then, they keep to themselves, which is how it should be IMHO.

I typically read a lot and don't ask too many questions on the forum but often times a dumb question to you would be a logical question to me as a newbie. Often times members post links to old discussions that have other links that are not even available anymore. That a side.... half the time when someone asks a question there are a few good suggestions then the thread flies off the handle talking about nothing to do with the original question.

Don't feel like I'm directing this at you but thought this is fitting for this conversation.
