break up at 5k

Ok guys been having an issue. I'm down to a few issues left. My car is breaking up badly at 5 k. What I've done so far was replaced the plugs. Did a boost leak test and also readjusted my bov. Its an hks ssqv recirculated into the intake. I'm thinking I'm losing spark and don't know if this has been heard of. My battery is in the trunk so idk if a bad ground could cause this or if my coil is worn out. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

What do you mean by break up? Like is the car misfireing at higher RPM's? If so depending what mods you have, you might be hitting the fuel cut off in the computer which will sound like your backing fire big time and feels like the car will jerk around. You might wanna get your ECM redone. I forgot who does it on this forum but I'm sure others will chim in.

Yea is missing. Its not hitting fuel cut. Sorry I didn't be more descriptive. The motor is stock rebuilt. Evo super 16g on 17 psi. It just started doing it the other day but ran perfect before Tuesday. The ecu is epromm with the caps redone last year by me.

What is your spark plug gap?

It was .24 I dropped it to .22 and no change then to .20 and no change. I'm using ngk brp7es copper core plugs (one step colder then stock)

How are your spark plug wires?

What heat range plug did you install and was it doing this before the plug change and/or did it just start happening one day?

wires a pretty new. it jsut started doing it one day. the plugs are one heat range colder. they always have been.

fund it. so please disregard this thread. my intercooler cracked at teh drivers side end tank. its about 6 inches long. time to pull out the ol' tig welder.
