Lolz. Welcome to California. That's just the beginning, wait until you have to pass smog with your car. Get ready to shell out a hefty bribe. That's is, if you are lucky enough to find a tech who will hook you up.

Nice looking car. What brackets did you use to mount the 3k calipers?

I'm trying to go the 3k/cobra route, and it's not working out too well trying to get the calipers to clear the 5zigen FN01r's. I got them to clear, but there's literally less than 1mm of clearance and i don't want to drive it like that. If a wheelbearing starts to go, or even if something flexes a little, i fear it will cause damage to parts. I'm actually thinking about having the caliper modified a bit at a machine shop, because i think i've taken off as much material from the outer face of the caliper and still consider it safely functional.

I think in the end i'm just going to go with a TCE Wilwood setup. Ugh.. so expensive!

Qualcomm on fridays... I'll have to check it out. Makes me want to get a 4 Bolt now. I will post here when I decide to go to Qualcomm, it'd be totally awesome to see other gvr4s/ 4g63s out there...

Seeking someone in the area to help me with ECM V3 tuning. I have been reading and watching videos, but I would like a knowledgable person aside so I don't mess things up.

Thank you! I live in the downtown area of SD, but am willing to drive a decent amount.

Ya ya... I need to get it cleaned... I installed that stage 1 badge in the engine bay. I got HIDs installed... waiting for yellow ones for my fogs. I also submitted a job to get those signatures made into decals. I really want to bring this thing to a body shop and get it all fixed up and painted... but that's after I get all the more important things done first. Shits becoming more expensive, with all the real life expenses kicking back in again. This year was all about being able to spend my entire paycheck on whatever... now I have to put stuff aside to buy a house. Anyhoo, yea... need to clean the car, then I'll do some nice pics.

Actually, I want to get together with other VR4's in the Socal area. That'd be some good photos.

Came with the car. If I ever take them off though, I already have someone to give them to. I didn't realize it was uncommon to have these.

Just noticed this thread.
Have you been auto-xing down here yet? I would love to see what a set up car is like as mine is stock and is a fricking pig out there. I haven't auto-x'd with scca, but with sdbmwcca.

Please tell me you are keeping your car registered in your home state so you don't have to do the smog crap here.

I had my car tuned by Beau Brown, I believe he's in the LA area. He works for AEM and really knows his stuff, I would highly recommend him. He met me at a nice shop in Montclair that has an AWD dyno, tuned the car and I paid the shop $200 and him $200. His number is (310)947-6329.

Btw, car looks great, welcome to Cali! Nice to have another VR-4 owner here.
