2g gm maft

Picked up a MAFT last week and its for a second gen harness. I have a 2g pig tail, but when i plug it in the maf is missing 2 wires over the harness for the 2g harness, far left and far right wire in the harness. also it has a white and a purple wire lose, off the harness, what are these for? I know white is rpms but I have no idea what the purple is for. any help would be great thanks.

Got the maft problem solved but on the first start up my ecu started smoking and ic107 chip was burned and now i get the idle surge and the IACV shows no movement on the logger. could I have done this with the logger or is it from my IACV going out?
