Nice to see you guys managed to get all those Galants together. :p

It was pretty cool to meet a SoCal GVR4 brother for the first time all the way in Norwalk, Ohio. I was planning to skip the 2012 Shootout, but seeing someone from SoCal made the drive (in one of the cleanest GVR4s around, by the way), and getting called out by a couple 2GNT autox friends, I guess I'm going to start budgeting now.

Gonna try to talk boostedinaz into rolling. If we can find three guys willing to split gas/hotel costs and drive straight through, we could have 3 GVR4s (including you, SoCal Mike) rolling out of Phoenix next year. That would be epic.

PS: Don't forget: turbomac. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif

LOL at the turbomac haha i remember you saying that along with other creative ones, cant wait till next year man, im gonna try to bring 2 of my cars out there this time. im thinking of getting Rob to get a truck and a trailer and trailer my GST out there and follow in the VR4 or something, that way i can do the dyno for Friday, autocross on saturday and a few passes down the track on sunday. we'll see what happens. either way we all should start planning now and saving up for next years. i think it would be AWESOME if we can get a lot of us to cruise out there togehter man, thats what i wanted to do this time but nobody wanted to. plus everybody was spread out so it was kinda impossible.

1 sweet way to be respectful, If you acted like this at a meet I would probably slap you myself
2 thats actually a high dollar bumper that took a lot of work, its even more rare than AMG stuff
3 when it comes to car design people in different areas have different tastes, its called culture
4 the bumper doesnt look like its sagging or anything, unlike some USDM ones ive seen

so on a site with older grocery getters, we (since its not just you) are gonna rag on some one because he has something Rare, Done right, and Functional? sounds like it fits our cars perfectly?

troll all you want, sometimes its fun/funny but dont try and turn away a member of the community, theres not a lot of us the way it is.

and it doesnt matter if youre listed as a "newbie" or not, if you are new, then thats even more reason to be respectful. The guys that are on here a lot are a little more hard skinned, on some stuff.

BTW sweet auto setup. you should really look into a way to have a converter lockup. it makes a huge difference.

I never said a word about his 'newbie' status and i commented on him doing the mechanical things right.

He said that he HAD to run the bumper, not that he WANTED to run the bumper, the way he laid it out was that he had to use that bumper to get proper cooling to his car. Have you seen the car in person?

You can do whatever you want to your car, if its your style, then its your style, but when you claim you had no other choice because you needed the cooling abilities, well, then you're just bullshitting.

Sorry if I dont use right word, english is not m'y first language and I may not use to use the propre word to explain what I Want to say. I first buy this Evo III bumber because a friend off mine sell it for cheap, and I Like it. The original bumper was vert uggly (2000GTX) and let just no air pass to cool down the vr4 OEM fmic and I buy a Evo IX fmic, so I need Space.

Here is a picture of the car with original bumper trimmer to try to have more air pass

I def get what you are trying to say though...and I think the car looks way better now. I dont mind the design...but personally if I was going to commit to running a front bumper like that, I would work on the whole kit. (same to those just running one AMG part) but I think it would be nice to get the rear, side skirts, and evo wing as well.

I already have a evo hood vent and rear spoiler, but evo IX one. My hood is nor on beta version. The good one is in the bodyshop to have a evo IX carbon fiber integrate to it. The vent I have actualu is a EVO III but cut out to fit the evo IX grill, the V shape is not exactly the same and I have to cut out the center section because EVO III had 2 small grill. And when he will paint it, I will bring him the front bumper because it is on the primer presently. I want also to cut out the bottom part of the bumper on sides to fit the VR4 side skirt

I would like to have a rear JDM bumper but the one at shoutout asking 300$, I foud it high price and need to be repaint bacause had severe scratch on it.
