I bought a never installed built jacks transmision from a dsm owner he said it was from a vr4 so i didnt look at the codes till after i brought it home. Well its from a 1990 the linkage looks like it has been converted to a 91 im just wondering about the sensor i unplugged from my vr4 tranny there's no spot for that in this one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

You talking about the reverse switch? If so, there is a spot. It's the empty hole in your trans toward the bottom right of the picture. You need to take the reverse switch out of your old trans and screw it into this one. Or, buy a new one.

Same with the speed sensor. (Large open hole in the back of the trans) If it's already been converted to a 91-up shift arms, then it should bolt in no problem.

when I did a gearbox swap to an evo III setup I put my vr4 reverse sensor in to the evo III gearbox and it did not work, it threaded in and plugged up fine but i had no reverse lights.
Im not sure why maybe in that time it got damaged but its something to think about, even though its just lights.

Make sure there is a crush washer under the reverse switch when you install it!

Many a tale of woe due to this easily overlooked factor during install, resulting in the inability to shift properly, namely reverse.

There should be one stuck to the old sensor. If not, or you want to replace it, they are still available from Mitsu, or almost any drain plug crush washer would work from an auto parts store.

Hard to say, lots of variables there. Does Jacks rate them? In any event, will depend mostly on how its used. Given you adjust things properly, don't abuse it too much, feed it good fluid and maintain it, then significantly more than stock. I'd try to ballpark it in the 400lb-ft range if you want it to be reliable and have a decent life span, all while not having to drive it like a puss. Could it be more? I wouldn't be surprised.
