+1 on eguages.com and vdo. Have them sitting below the radio and like previous mention people always think they're stock. I rarely look at them anymore though.

Yeah I replaced all that stuff and had it all balanced together, etc etc etc. I had trouble justifying the extra expense as well. But my original one snapped at the front so I needed welding done as well. Made the decision a little easier when cost was to close to not upgrade lol.

Are you talking about the filing the carrier bearing with silicone? Imho out doesn't need to be done. No reason really of stock they last 100K+ miles. Also are you replacing the lobro joint as well? I thought about this route and just went with a DSS driveshaft.

I recently snapped my front shaft. After doing extensive research I found that just the midshaft is longer. The rest is the same length. I ended up going with a dss anyway. Still have the midshaft if needed.

From my research only the mid shaft is longer. The other two are the same as dsm. I have the middle shaft still laying around I believe if you need just that to piece it all together. I snapped the front shaft last fall and just decided to go with a dss one.

I am not trying to be mean. But unless you are driving a race car does the 2lbs per tire really matter? I think it's more about what fits properly and looks good to you.
