OK so I got it to turn over. I applied 12 volts right to the solenoid via the signal wire and it finally turned over. So is this just a bad ignition switch?

Not to be a ass but you said no dents and there is a dent under the passenger side headlight. I also noticed in the rear seat it looks like tape covering up a split in the leather stitching. But maybe I'm wrong more pictures and info would really help. We can be very picky on this board.

Yeah all the fuel is out and new will be going in I just didn't want to do any damage that I could avoid.

I opened the tank and cleaned it out so all good there.

The fuel tank is in great shape and free of rust. I'm more concerned about the possibility of moisture in the block.

It sounds like the clutch is still engaged when you push it in to release it. I would just bleed the system. Im not 100% on that, but it will help the pedal play and it may solve both problems.

Also some cross drilled or slotted discs will help and they look good on the car.

replacing the timing belt is a bitch, because the engine is so horse shoed in you have to atack it from the wheel well on the drivers side. Its not that its hard, just a lot B.S. to take off to get to it.

It sounds like you may need to bleed the clutch lines.
