  3. Any 4g63 pros in Washington (Seattle) ?

I didn't disappear off the face of the earth. A successful and honest business person doesn't just shutter the doors w/o announcement for no reason. Besides, it's all a mute point. Draw ur own conclusions. Ban me if u must.
  4. Any 4g63 pros in Washington (Seattle) ?

Pina went under. Good riddance, I say. That shop ripped me off so bad my ass still hurts. Everybody keeps hyping up Pina. Who's actually had Pina work on their car? Yeah, that's what I thought. If there 's any justice "Grocery getter" lost everything including his house. Oh yeah, the alleged...

  8. head studs vs bolts

This is just what I've read some where. Any engineers wanna chime in?
  9. head studs vs bolts

Studs are better. With bolts, all of the force is put on the head of the bolt. With studs, the force is distributed along the length of the stud not the nut.

  18. Good shops in WA Seattle area

I will never go to Pina, again. Horrible experience, multiple excuses, straight out lies, long turn around time, got the run around, I personally had to correct the shoddy work I originally paid them to do. I'd rather take the bus before they touch my car again. Don't know much about Boss.

  21. install arp head studs w/o removing cyl. head

    What's considered a "good tune"? I'm running SAFC w/ keydiver chip & 650cc. A/F ratio is 11.5- 12.0, 92 octane, 50/ 50 methanol/ water, stock timing, no knock. Am I overlooking anything?
  22. install arp head studs w/o removing cyl. head

I was under the impression that stock head bolt were only capable of low 20's psi.
  23. install arp head studs w/o removing cyl. head

Yeah I know. I've installed arp head studs while replacing a head gasket. I cleaned out the bolt holes in the block with a tap just to be sure. I'm probably not gonna risk it. Would just like to up the boost on the evo3 16g. Currently running 18 psi.
  24. install arp head studs w/o removing cyl. head

I know the proper way is to unbolt from the outer in a circular pattern to the middle of the head to remove and vice versa when installing the head to prevent head warpage. I don't need to replace my head gaskets. Any thoughts on replacing the head bolts with arp's one at a time starting from...

  29. FS:PARTS PARTS

True. But that's the nature of selling parts on- line. I agree no money... No sale. Isn't 1- 15 implied with any sale?
  30. FS:PARTS PARTS

  33. foglights on when high beams on

I hated how the foglights shut off when the high beams were switched on. If I'm running high beams, I want maximum illumination. So, looked at the wiring diagram. This is such an easy "mod". It'll take all of 10 minutes. Remove driver under dash panel, unplug the connector behind the foglight...

  38. Combo switch, interchangeable with DSM 1G T/E/L??

It is but it isnt. The dsm combi switch is physically da same. It'll bolt up and plug right in. However, the pins in the connector are not the same.
  39. EGT sensor

Cyl 1 runner. Its the last cyl to get fed by the fuel rail & cyl most likely to starve for fuel.
  40. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

    affirmative. good luck
  41. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

Sorry i misunderstood. Undo the mounting bolts. See if you can separate. Hopefully its just some type of sealant. If it is jb weld, you are SOL.
  42. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

Looking at the pic. U r referring to the bov mounting flange. U can separate the bov by undoing the two small nuts/ bolts.
  43. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

U can get a new diaphram from greddy for $80. Just unbolt the greddy bov and bolt on the 1g.
  44. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

My guess is a torn diaphram
  45. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

Yeah. Remove the capped off hose. Without a boost controller btween the "T" and the wastegate actuator, the spring in the actuator will limit boost to approx. 11psi.
  46. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

Remove capped hose from lower BOV, run hose from intake manifold to upper BOV, ideally run hose from compressor output/ j- pipe to boost control back to wastegate actuator. Or "T" off hose between IM and BOV and run to boost controller then to wastegate actuator. Does that make sense? Good luck.
  47. BCS restriction help. (it's missing o.O)

Wow. That set up is totally incorrect. The bleed off port on the BOV should not be capped off. Btw, who did the work. Dont let that person touch the car again... Ever!
