  1. WTB: stock radiator

Get one for a 94-98 galant. They are the same except they have provisions for auto trans cooler lines. Most local parts places have them.
  2. WTB: EGR Block Off plate

Take your egr off and cut out a piece of beer/soda can and sandwich it in place. Will be an effective block off until you can find an actual plate. Tom
  3. WTB: galant AC bracket

Gvr4 ones only use 3 bolts. Dsm uses 4.
  4. Wtb: Oil Sending Switch???

Napa, any other good parts store. Very common part. $10 or so used to be. Tom
  5. WTB: Brake booster vacum hose

Go to a junk yard. The DSM/reg galant ones work fine. If you have a magnus/aftermarket intake, then get one from a 99-04 galant, they are longer (and work perfect). The check valve is in all of them. Tom
  6. WTB: gvr4 radiator or trade

94-98 galant ones are the same. Just dont use the auto trans cooler part of it.

  8. WTB: complete cluster for galant vr4 cheap for practice.found 3 for $120

Galants that had the 4G63 DOHC engine had the color changing dash. VR4, GS, GSR and GSX Galants that had the 4G63 SOHC engine did not come with the color changing dash-Most galants produced had this engine. 89-92 only.
  9. FS: droid x (rooted)

Droid X. Phone is almost two years old. Phone is Rooted (jailbroken) GB operating system. Has the 2 cases with it. One is a Seidio (there are 4 pieces to this case), the other is a bodyglove. A brand new 16g sd card (from the new phone I am now using). No issues with phone/camera. I took the...
  10. WTB: Brake Booster hose

No, not vr4 specific. Not even mitsu specific. As long as the one way check valve is there then you are good. I have used ones from later model galants (99-06 models) with the Magnus intake (some of the years have longer hoses-which is needed for different intakes). Tomedited for...
  11. WTB: New or Pretty God Condition Turbo Bolts (4)

I would say to get new as well. Also get the washers that go on them (8 total). Tom

  16. One more galant back on the road

What color is the car? In the first pic, it looks gray; but in the second it has a green tint to it. Number 341/2000 could only be a gray color if it was repainted. Car looks very good with those wheels on it. Makes me wish I would have kept the gray chassis I had. Tom
  17. WTB: OEM double din trim ring

I have one. PM'd you. Tom
  18. FS: uncrushed stock bovs, 6 bolt crank, turbo xs mbc

6 bolt crank. In pretty good (virgin) condition. From a JDM engine (that I bought and used for 45k miles in #67). Never turned or polished. $110 shipped ground to inside the USA. Tom
  20. WTB: Pistons

93 is a year by itself. 2.0 sohc. 94 is a 2.4. A little over 1550 of them were dohc (gs); the rest were sohc. The same up to 98. Tom
  21. FS: Not free, but close gvr4/1g stuff

I am going to scrap all the mitsu (gvr4/1g) stuff that I have. I just don't have time to fool with it any more. However, I have some parts that are good, but need some cleaning up. 3 14b turbos, some cas (90, and 91-not sure what all they are), the 'filler' piece that goes under the headlights...

  25. autobahntom

    click
  26. CAS?

One way to test the CAS is to take it off the engine. Plug it back into the car. Then rotate it by hand (key on/engine off); put your other hand on each injector. As you turn the CAS, each injector should click as it 'fires'. Tom
  27. Rear brake question

Yes, as long as it comes from an awd car (maybe fwd turbo as well, I have not tried those, but the 1g awd cars I have swapped).
  28. Gray Monster

    Good communication. Fast payment. Tom

  32. Got the oil light fixed. Now I got another problem.

Need to check and make sure the idle switch is there and functioning properly. Tom
  33. Got the oil light fixed. Now I got another problem.

Pulled the sending unit wire off? or it broke off? or the sending unit itself ($15 at pepboys) went bad. Very common Mitsubishi problem. Tom
  34. fuel injector size

There should be numbers on the sides of them. Google those numbers. Or you can pm NARF on here. He can probably tell you-may have to take a pic for him though. Tom
  35. Fans always on

The white plug goes to another coolant sensor on the t-stat housing. If the housing isn't from a turbo car, it may have a plug instead of a sensor. The white plug in the top pic is used for the A/C. If the car gets too hot that sending unit will turn off the a/c and turn the fans on-which sounds...
  36. FS: 974/1000 Delaware -SOLD

Price lowered. Would like to move this car. $2200.

  38. Need some advice on transmission problem.

Check for play both ways, pushing and pulling on the pedal and arm. The problem is the 'arm' on the clutch master side has a hole cut in it-and this hole gets egged out. But, the end of the arm (where it actually attaches to the clutch master rod) is a long ways from where it bolts to the cross...
  39. Need some advice on transmission problem.

To check the pedal problem: First look at some pics of the pieces that go bad-JNZ and Shep both have them on their web sites. It will be much easier to 'see' the problem if you know how the pieces are layed out under the dash.Get on your knees outside the driver's door on the ground (with the...
  40. Need some advice on transmission problem.

The pedal assembly. The shim/fork is most likely not your problem. I replaced the clutch/flywheel/fork/ball and then pulled it all out to take the shim out-Then found out about the pedal problem. The pedal assembly is easy to check to see if it is the problem. Takes 20 seconds. Pulling the...
  41. EVO 8 MAF or Map and AIT ?

For plug and play operation, the 3g sensor and a keydiver chip are the way to go. Tom
  42. Help diagnose no-start

All 6 bolt turbo heads are the same. The difference with JDM and USDM heads is only how the cam bearing caps are marked. One is marked I and E, the other marked L and R-and since the bearing caps stay with the head one can usually tell where the head originated. Cams are different depending on...
  43. Help diagnose no-start

The lifters may also be 'frozen'. This will also give zero compression. Can take them out; collapse them and reinstall (or put 3g ones in while you are there). Tom
  44. Broken Balance Shaft Belt

The balance belt breaking probably didn't happen with the harmonic balancer problem-unless the timing cover broke and put pieces into the belt. The balance shaft belt could have been broken for a while and you not known it-just depends on the damage. If the timing belt is six teeth off, then it...
  45. Trans problem...

I bet it is number 3 in the list above. The clutch pedal assembly has play. Easy way to check-grab the clutch pedal with one hand and the 'arm' that is on the other end of the pedal cross rod (this is pictured in the link above). If you have movement between the two; then that is your problem. I...
  46. Clutch engagement ( more pics )

Here is a pic of what may be your problem (in the post above, what JNZ has pictured is just what you need). Darren (1990ggsxnj) suggested that this might be my problem, and he was right. The piece that attaches to the clutch master (with a clevis pin) was the majority of my problem. (the piece...
  47. non synchro'd reverse

When needing to use reverse, push the clutch in, put the car in any other gear (I always use 2nd), then put it in reverse without taking your foot off the clutch. It will go right in without grinding. This works well on trans that don't have syncro's or reverse brake, etc. Tom
  48. Length of timing belt?

I cut an old one, 57 5/16" layed flat. Tom
  49. slave cylinder

There are two (at least) slave cylinders that can be used on our cars (not talking brands, but designs). They work the same, but the bleeder/line are in different places. One of them makes bleeding very easy, one doesn't=and either one can be used with some minor tweeking to the hard line. I...
  50. Scientist

Needed a small part, but unique to our cars. Good communication thruout.
