The closed throttle switch runs off ground. Get a set of alligator clips and a 12v light bulb. Ground the light bulb to the switch. Positive to + batt. It should light up when throttle is closed. Or if you want to check the wire to the ECU. Ground the bulb to pin 14 on the ECU . clickI was...

You can turbo anything. But as of putting a turbo on the stock motor of a gsx. I wouldn't! I'm sure it has a lot of miles on it. Are you planning on rebuilding the motor?

What are the measurement on the fmic?

Well it depends on the timing light. If you have a adjustable one. Set the timing light to 5 degrees and you will line the notch to the T- top dead on the case. If your light is not adjustable line the notch up to 5 degree mark on case. You can do the same with the adjustable light set at 0 degree.

Ok thx that's what I was thanking. One more things I thank my timing is 180 off. Do you know roughly where the CAS bolt closes to the Thermostat should be about half way rite. If so I'm 180 out.

Ok I know what I need to do for getting base timing. Iv been reading. Now I have a timing light that is adjustable for degrees advanced. The question is if I set the timing light to 5 degrees do I line the notch to the T or to the 5 degree mark on the timin cover?Thanks Matt

There are no fuel mods on the car.

No I don't. But I have a A/F gauge. It reads optimum when cruising. And rich when heavy on the throttle at higher speeds. But for the must part its reads optimum.

I've check the timing it at 5 degrees at idle. The only time knock happens is from a stop, and cruising. If mash the throttle it will hesitate for a second and then clear up.
