I always use a cut down 2x4 between the floor jack and oil pan.

I have seen similar issues quite often with customers cars. The rule of thumb I have always used is, low speed shaking/shimmy= tires, usually broken belt. High speed shaking/shimmy = balance issue. Obviously this is only a place to start not an end all be all answer.

I had a Momo steering wheel with NRG quick release 2.5 and short hub adapter. I ended up selling it and buying a stock wheel. I'll check to see if I have any pics of it installed.
