  1. Consensus on spring on spring rates?

So on evo's I've seen anywhere from the 5k/4.5k that I mentioned in the OP all the way to 12k/12k. And from the cars with 12k/12k it doesn't seen like they're coming off purpose built race cars. Maybe I'll get the zeals with 5k/4.5k and run them and see how they are and then if I want to change...
  2. Consensus on spring on spring rates?

I tried searching to see what people think and haven't come up with too much. I've mostly seen 8k/6k and 7k/7k. I have an opportunity to get some buddyclub rsd's for an evo for a very good price but they have 5k/4.5k swifts on them. So if I get them I'm going to be swapping out the springs but...
  3. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

Ah that would make sense. Thanks for the input
  4. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

I don't really think anything needs to be hacked up to fit a 1g radiator? You just need to make new top mounts from everything that I've read and seen. And after that pretty much the entire front of the engine bay is open. The only downside is you need to delete a/c which I already don't have...
  5. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

I looked at both the scirocco and 1g and I think I'm gonna go with the 1g radiator since it's a bit larger dimensionally but still fits inside the crossmember
  6. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

I remember when I originally bought the manifold I emailed them and asked if it would fit an S362 and they said that it would. I'm about 99% sure it will fit with a 1g radiator and the additional flange. I'm not particularly fond of having another gasket on there but it should be fine.
  7. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

Gonna be honest I have too much money in this manifold to get rid of it. I found a 3/8" exhaust flange that should free up enough room to run the turbo and a turbo blanket and then with a 1g radiator and pusher fans I should have enough room. I don't have the engine with the car right now so I...
  8. Trying to squeeze an S362 in

So as the title says, I'm trying to make an s362 fit. I'm having trouble even getting it to fit on to the engine itself. I have a JMFab top mount manifold and the turbo is hitting the head. I already ground down the parting like on the turbine housing and it's still hitting. So my plan was to...

  14. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

Any info on that evo build?
  15. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

Quoting NateCrisman: Well...if your driving the car everyday...you'll get something like 12-14mpg on E85 if it's tuned fairly well and your beating the snot out of the motor fairly often cause your always out "tuning" wot runs . at least that was what I got for an average with E85 on a 500's...
  16. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

There's e85 around me, just far enough away that it would be a hassle. I suppose I could always just get a 30 gal drum to fill up and keep. How long e85 last sitting like that?
  17. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

If I decide to go e85 down the road, I'll definitely have to upgrade injectors and pump but for right now, if I max out my setup, are my pump and injectors ok? Or should I get an inline fuel pump to run after the aeromotive?
  18. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

Build is as follows:156mm magnus rods Custom manley pistons (~9.0:1) Eagle crank GSC S2 cams GSC valve springs +1mm valves Magnus Cast Intake manifold JM Fab exhaust manifold BW S362I'm not adverse to meth
  19. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

Ah yea, my bad. 93. I'd like to go e85 but there's no station close to me that carries it
  20. Fuel set-up for ~600whp

As the title states, I'm looking for a fuel set-up for a ~600whp car. I currently have -8an feed and return lines, FIC 1100's, and an Aeromotive 340. I'm thinking that the injectors and pump might fall a little short. Anyone have any recommendations as to what I should do?

  25. WTB: Pretty much entire front of motor

I basically have a long block and need everything else that goes on the motor. The more that one person has the better it is for me.
  26. 17x9 +24 Wheels

dc_style, what kind of suspension are you running?
  27. 17x9 +24 Wheels

I really hope they fit without looking ridiculous though. Idk. It's hard to judge without ever seeing one in person with anything close to that size.
  28. 17x9 +24 Wheels

Nah, I don't think it'll be "hellaflush" maybe I'll have to find a see of wheels that aren't in Maryland to put on and see how it is. It won't be done for the shootout, I still have a few things left to get and then it'll be up and running. Maybe another 2 or 3 months.
  29. 17x9 +24 Wheels

I'm thinking with a little bit of fender roll, a little bit of camber, and a little tire stretch (I know, I know, get the pitchforks out because of that word) they'd be able to sit flush.
  30. 17x9 +24 Wheels

I have a friend who is offering me an awesome deal on some 17x9 +24 fr500 wheels. Now I know that's not the optimal size, but would they be able to fit under the car without having to do anything too extreme?
  31. WTB: Twin disc clutch, 17" 5x114.3 wheels, 22 Spline transfer case

Looking for a Twin disc clutch (doesn't have to be new), 17" 5x114.3 wheels (don't really have too much of a preference, although the wider the better and I do have a thing for mesh wheels), and a 22 spline transfer case. I'm in NE Ohio so if you're close to me, that's a plus so I don't have to...
  32. WTB: 1200cc injectors, clutch, flywheel

Looking for injectors around the 1000-1200cc range, preferably a twin disc clutch setup (will be making around 6-700hp), and a flywheel.

  34. My christmas gift for my 1837/2000

I'm also super jealous of that rear window spoiler. Have you thought about painting it the same color as the car?
  35. Twin Scroll Turbo

Thanks for that. I was never completely sure if the decreased back pressure would actually help the turbo breathe any better with results
  36. FS: My largest FS ad ever.

Any info on those 5 spoke wheels in the first picture?
  37. Twin Scroll Turbo

But when you're comparing divided to undivided exhaust housings you usually go up on size for the fact that you have better spool. And when you to that, you get better top end along with it. So I can see where you're coming from but most people won't go with the same a/r for a divided and...
  38. Twin Scroll Turbo

If anything, I think a twin scroll would flow better up top. There's less backpressure at higher RPM's so the air would flow through easier which would help it breathe better.
  39. Thoughts on Zone ARX rims?

They'd look really sweet if you found the center caps and outer rings. I think those kind of make those wheels. Almost looks unfinished without them. Still pretty sweet and retro nonetheless
  40. thedsmguy

Just paid for an ETS intercooler today and he's already shipping it out now. Awesome guy to deal with and I'll definitely deal with him again
  41. FS: VERY RARE HKS race valvesprings

  46. WTB: Rust free shell

Looking for a rust free galant shell or full running vehicle in the NE Ohio area. I have a pretty crap schedule due to school so if you can't work around that let's not waste our time. I'd also be willing to ship if the price of the car is right.
