10. WTB: Cam Caps Dowels

I have a couple bare cylinder heads you can have for free if you want to pay shipping. Plenty of dowels in them.Wiz
11. Sway bar bushings - what/where?

The 1g bushings/sway bar is 21mm. The GVR4 front bar is 22mm. I used the 1g bushings from energy suspension and they fit with a bit of cussing.Wiz
12. Starion LSDs

Not sure on the DSM rear. But, the 1g Monty guys snag those things all the time for their rear ends.Wiz
13. WTB: Fuel vapor check valve

IRC, that isn't a filter but a check valve. Prevents fuel vapors from returning to the tank. Any check valve that has the correct hose size will also work fine if you can't find the OE part.Wiz
14. WTB: 22-spline output shaft

I have one.Wiz

Got one....thanks.Wiz
18. WTB: E316g

Botched my rebuild and now the wheel is damaged, so might as well get a upgrade while i'm at it. Looking for an e3-16g does not need to have the turbine housing as I already have a brand new one on the car already. Prefer to spend around $250-350, but shoot me whatever. And I did see stokin's...
19. WTB: Drivers side front lower control arm, passenger rear fender moulding

Is there a difference? Far as i know only the FWD arms were different due to a different sway bar end link design. Either way, it all bolted up just fine and no alignment issues.Wiz
20. WTB: Drivers side front lower control arm, passenger rear fender moulding

I got my control arm from Advance Auto. Its a Dorman arm with a new ball joint and bushings for about $100. Order it on the web site and look for promo codes in google. Might get it down as low as $80.Wiz
21. Old Vr-4

My store sells the rubber caps as well as an assortment of the silicone caps.Wiz
22. WTB: Brace # 38

I never put it back either. Once I went to manual steering, even the mount got cut.Wiz
23. 4WS leak

You could just goto any parts store, ask for a ready made stick of 3/16 line with metric inverted flare fittings at a length from 6 inches to 6 feet and a compression fitting to match. Then cut the line as far back as your stick, install compression fitting and bend the rest to match stock...
24. MD131842 ECU

Not to mention it could be a different board inside altogether. Don't ever go by the outside stickers. These ECUs have failed, rebuilt, replaced, etc so much over the years. A perfect example, in my GVR4, it's an ECU from a 1g DSM AT EPROM in the GVR4 case so it fits in the side panel.Wiz
25. What's the difference between these two heads?

Keep in mind that if the head is warped badly, you cannot just simply machine it flat. The entire head warped, so the cam towers, bolt holes, etc will have some issues. 0Ran into this before with a milled head and the cams wouldn't turn once bolted on and wouldn't slide down the head studs as...
26. WTB: Rear Passenger Dogleg any color

Yeah, still have another.Wiz
27. WTB: driver caliper and outer hose

Well, they don't bolt in like a 2g dsm. They thread in directly. Usually I thread the hose in first, then install the caliper onto the bracket. You can also separate it at the strut and thread the hose in and then reattach the hose.Wiz
28. WTB: Rear Passenger Dogleg any color

I'll have to make sure I have another. I just put one on my own car last month. Pretty sure I still have another.Wiz
29. WTB: Rear Passenger Dogleg any color

Finally got around to getting them off my phone.Passenger side trim is still on the car: [/img]Others are in the garage:[/img]Wiz

32. windows 8 with ecm link 2.5

I run V3 software with a v2 cable on an Acer touchscreen 8.1 laptop. No issues.Wiz
33. WTB: Outlander Caliper Brackets!

Quoting Fiascoxl: Just messaged them. I may just buy whole new remanned calipers with brackets but does anyone no for sure if the VR4 brake hoses will work? This option will cost me another set of pads though, the part numbers differ from the VR4's.edit: I need banjo style front lines for...
34. WTB: Rear seat

Depends on shipping really. I know they aren't worth that much since just about every back seat is mint....lol. Give me your zip and i'll toss a number at you.
35. WTB: Rear seat

I'm parting out one of mine and the rear seats are near perfect.Wiz
36. WTB: rear calipers, 3g lifters

Quoting G: Go to autozone or advanced auto parts and buy reman's. They will ask for your old ones as cores.Hard to argue there. Lifetime warranty, new brackets, and washers for $50-60. Honestly most rear calipers on these cars are bad due to age or improper installation of rear pads...
37. Anyone know?

Quoting AllanL: Quoting prove_it: Thanks, I was wondering if that's all it was. Wasn't sure if the superback design needed to have anything special.the flat back/super back wheel difference basically does not have any relation to the housing bore.the back plate is what 'decides' it for...
38. Anyone know?

The plate behind the 14b wheel is flat, whereas the 16g+ back plate is concave. You should be able to swap in a 16g back plate and then machine the compressor housing to fit the 20g wheel. They actually sell the 16g-20g conversion on ebay and it consists of only a wheel and machined housing.Wiz
39. New Owner of '91 GVR4, #1227 of 2000

Quoting Fielgood1736: Welcome to the forums. I believe I saw your post on IG. As for the 4WS light, I would check the p/s fluid level sensor. It could be something as simple as bad wiring or a short. Hopefully not something too bad like steering line failure. Good luck!He said it goes...
40. Looking for Pulley options....

Quoting iceman69510: Quoting Wizardawd: a nice serpentine belt.FYI, not really a serpentine belt, just a ribbed belt. Serpentine technically means one belt that runs all or most of the accessories with a common tensioner (snakes around like a serpent, you see?)Serpentine originally...
41. Looking for Pulley options....

Easy enough to switch out the PS pulley to a 2g style pulley. Allows you to get rid of that squealing, overpriced PS V-belt to a nice serpentine belt.My Dorman balancer has been transferred between 3 different cars over the last 8 years. Holding up fine.Wiz
42. is this ecu good?

Not to mention it is far cheaper to upgrade the caps than the upgrade/replace the caps and do the board/circuit repairs. And sometimes, it's not even possible after the damage is done.Wiz
43. Factory Valve Cover Color

I sand my letters clean, then put vaseline on them. Paint the VC, once it dries, wipe the vaseline off. Something silimar can be done if you paint the letters, etc. Just do the letters first since you usually don't want to try to detail them after the rest is painted or you risk damaging it...
44. 91 VR4 starts briefly and then dies. Car is mostly stock, and has repaired ecu

In that same sense, MPI relay is probably fine, but from sitting for so long I feel it's more of a bad fuel/fuel pump issue. Starting then stopping right after is almost always a fuel issue. And most premium gas should be non-ethanol, but still doesn't like sitting for longer than 6 months.Wiz
45. Factory Valve Cover Color

The silver is probably the same color used on most rims of the period. I believe the name used was Argent Silver.Wiz
46. WTB: 4G63 head

I have several heads some complete, some bare. 1 complete head that is fairly new with manley retainers, stock springs. 1 complete stock, 120k miles, 2 bare/partial heads also.Wiz
47. My introduction.

About time he posted something up here.Wiz
48. Factory Valve Cover Color

I'd just pick any color or a red that you think looks close. It's not like there is anything you are matching it too anyways. It was the only thing red under the hood unless you have the JDM intake. And even then, they have faded over time.I painted one in the satin wrinkle red that the...
49. WTB: o2 Sensor Connector

Just find or purchase a 4 wire connector with the wires on both ends. Can be from anything honestly, just a 4 wire connector, round, square, etc. Radio Shack sells nice molex connector kits in your choice of pin count.Wiz
50. Changing out fuel filter

Sure, removing the gap cap removes vapor pressure. But it's internal fuel line pressure we are dealing with here. So no the cap will do nothing in regards to line pressure, you have to starve or open the system to relieve pressure.Wiz
