  9. My new toy

I better way to do this would be to run a line off of that tee to the sensor that is mounted somewhere. This will not only eliminate the weight from the brass tee, but also shield the sensor from vibrations. I have heard of autometer sensors having a short life in some cases where they are...
  10. New owner of 161/1000

The brake lines may be double the price but as far as ease to work with they are well worth it. Minor missbends are easily straightened by rolling it on a flat surface. One thing to be careful with however is because they bend much easier than steel, if you accidentally bump a nice straight...

  19. Headlight replacement options

Advantage of using the 9012 bulb over the 9005 bulb is: 9005 bulb: Wattage: 65, Lumens: 1700 9012 bulb: Wattage: 55, Lumens: 1870 So you are still using a 55W bulb in the low beam circuit, but achieving a greater light output.Below are some pictures I snapped while sitting in the car at my...
  20. Headlight replacement options

That was a concern on mine. I removed the HID bulbs that were in the car when I bought it. Obviously this reduced the glare huge. When aiming the headlights I didn't notice much glare. I have ask a couple friends who I have driven behind if they noticed glare in the rear view or side view...
  21. Headlight replacement options

9012 bulb, still 55w power consumption, greater lumins output. I have used all sorts of bulbs expensive bulbs, including trying 9005 in the 9006 place. The 9012 is by far the best bulb I have ever used. I highly recommend it.click

Haven't tried on a GVR4 so I'm not positive on the sizing, but I used two hockey pucks for the rear mount on my 1g automatic dsm, from what I could tell digging my fingernail into it the puck is softer than poly, but much more stiff than oem.

  35. FS: Partout of GGSX 9/25 PARTOUT OVER SHELL GONE

I have not heard anything back from him either.
  36. 1990 GGSX DD Edition

No. The issues he had were from the slotted hole allowing the bolt to move on hard corners. This is not an issue with the spacers, as you can see they have a step on them. The smaller diameter portion takes up the space in the larger diameter strut holes. The larger diameter part is what acts as...
  37. 1990 GGSX DD Edition

Problem with washers is the evo shocks have larger mounting holes than the Galant.so you can drill out your steering knuckles and use evo bolts. Or get these I mentioned. When i first put the evo suspension on my dsm i hacked up the dsm ears to use as spacers, eyeballed what looked like 0...

  40. 1990 GGSX DD Edition

Much of the concern with the balance shaft comes from the fact that it spins at twice the speed of the engine. So when guys are constantly talking the engine to near red line rpms the balance shaft is spinning at twice that speed, making it more likely to fail and get tangled in the timing belt...

  44. Auto trans AN adapter fitting leaking

JIC comes in both 45 degrees and 37 degrees flare. -AN is basically 37 degree JIC, but tighter machining tolerance. As long as the JIC you are using is 37 degrees you can use it with -AN no problem. If I was you I would take the fitting into a hydraulic shop, If what you are working with isn't...
  45. Factory Valve Cover Color

Excellent, I will give that a shot, thanks.
  46. Factory Valve Cover Color

I should have been more specific, this is on my GGSX. The valve cover that is on there now is the same as G posted. Mitsubishi without the diamonds. The valve cover color (as well as the DSMs I've owned) has always looked to me like a slightly different silver than most rattle can silver colors...
