  1. alternator wiring

^That's right Dave, they were jdm lightsAre you just hooking up the high beams in the jdms or are you putting in totally different headlights?
  2. gagegregory

Without the axle cups it's not even close to being worth $400. You packed a rear dif w/axles in a potato chip box, it's not the shipping co. fault the box ripped- you just chose some flimsy box to send 70lbs worth of parts. And for the record I didn't ask you to sell the parts for $250. I...
  3. rez

Haha- thanks Hertz, glad someone noticed my good looks. And I only bought a wrx because I can't afford an evo yet!! Good luck w/the car man.
  4. gagegregory

Well I just got the 4 bolt and w/o the axle cups I specifically asked about. So I didn't get scammed but it took two and a half months for him to ship and the box had 2 huge gaping holes in it upon delivery. If you deal with this guy I would suggest only doing a local pick up unless you have...
  5. gagegregory

I have had such good luck w/people on this board that I ended up trusting in someone who obviously doesn't deserve it. Gage has had my money for a month and a half now and hasn't shipped the 4 bolt I paid him for. This is the 4 bolt that is going on Hertz's new car that I'm selling him #77...

Quote: If you did you would have pleanty of help and tools!haha...that's for sure!
  7. FS: SOLD

If anyone is interested in the car as a whole and doesn't want to fix the clutch, I could have the act clutch replaced with a good stocker and have the better drive shaft installed at the same time. If nobody is interested in the car as a whole I will have to part it out, which I really don't...
  8. FS: SOLD

The car is no longer pending sale due to a clutch problem and buyer backing out. The problem has been narrowed down to either the pressure plate or the clutch fork. The hydrolic system is fine. Basically the clutch won't disengage fully and if you're interested in the car I would recommend...

  15. FS: SOLD

I have ejoyed and appreciated this car a great deal, but I feel it's time to take a slightly new direction and try my hand at evo ownership. I feel that $4,000 is a fair price for the car given everything that comes with it and everything has been done correctly, no hack jobs here. So hear...

  17. FS: #77/2000 Mint roller -SOLD TO HERTZ!!-

Here are a few pics from 3rdstrike's previous for sale thread:
  18. FS: #77/2000 Mint roller -SOLD TO HERTZ!!-

The car has no engine or transmission, it's being sold as a rolling chasis. It has brakes, I'm just tyring to keep the price a bit lower by offering it without them or with them. The stealth calipers/rotors/pads/adapter kit are all pretty new (100 or so miles), and $300 is a smoking deal for...

Up for sale is an absolutely mint roller, #77/2000. The body is perfect, not one ding on the whole car. Zero rust. This car was originally from Texas and it has been stored for the winters since residing in Illinois. The paint is STI black, which has a green/goldflake to it that you only...
  21. Restored my wheels

Wow Gary the wheels look great man. That's cool you decided to go with the original finish and really keep them period correct. That must have taken a lot of powerballin'.
  22. Interior trim rattle can color

I painted my 89 underdash with duplicolor's vinyl and fabric spray paint and it's looking just fine 2 years later now. I couln't find a great match for the interior color so I ended up using black and I think it's fine. It's one of the panels that are usually in the shadows anyway so the fact...
  23. AMG steering wheel

Is that from a galant? Just asking because I'm pretty sure the amg galants had wood steering wheels.
  24. Stock 4G64 Block + DOHC head

Yes I'm using an n/a water pipe and the mounting tab needed to be drilled out a bit to match the bolt hole on the block.
  25. Stock 4G64 Block + DOHC head

I've been boosting 20-25psi just on a big 16g, but 3rdstrikedsm owned the block before me and it saw around that much psi on a pte scm6152.
  26. Stock 4G64 Block + DOHC head

You can do it, that's the setup I'm currently running.Damn, I type too slow- my block is a 7 bolt.
  27. Question on Gas gauge!!

I had this issue last summer and it was the sending unit. I opened up the little "box" above the flotation assembly and found the metal tab that is supposed to touch the coiled wire beside it was not touching and all I had to do was bend it down a bit to so it would make contact. Works...

  30. GaylantVR4

Another good guy post from me to gaylantvr4- bought a black top cas from him and got it in 2 days. Thanks again man.
  31. Evo Piston Compatibility

The evo rods won't work on a 6-bolt because they're not wide enough at the crank end. That's why I had my rods machined to fit the wrist pins, I had a full evo piston/rod set and had to ditch the rods in favor of the 1g rods.
  32. streetmasters

Awesome seller! Got my amber corners from him in 3 days.Would do business w/again- thanks man!

  43. Evo Piston Compatibility

I'm not sure if the evo wrist pins are exactly the same size as the 2g's, but I took my evo pistons and wrist pins along w/my 1g rods to a machine shop and they bored out the rods to fit the wrist pins without a problem.
  44. Crankwalk

Great hassle-free guy to deal with. Bought Jay's forgeline rims and they are going to be awesome! Quick shipping too.

  48. alright, whats the consensus on the evo 8 suspension now?

^^That's great to hear. I now know what mod I'm doing next......after my new galant gets back on the road......espelir springs! (already have the evo suspension)
  49. alright, whats the consensus on the evo 8 suspension now?

So the espelir springs by themselves lowered and leveled everything out? I was thinking about getting those springs, but I was a little worried they would leave the front end a bit higher still. I'm also using the GVR4 tops in front, are you doing the same? That ride height is sick!
