  8. My EGT probe question.

Provided that you are either logging the WBO2 readings or are staring at the gauge during a pull. I mounted my wideband in the GVR4 in the downpipe just ahead of the firewall at the prescribed 12* angle. I usually gave myself a 200* buffer from maxing out the gauge (1600*) and never cooked...
  9. FS: Brand new Mitsu 1G clutch master cylinder

Still available. The reservoir is taller on the 1G master cyl than the GVR4 unit. It fit on the firewall just fine in my GVR4. PM me for a quicker response, as I don't visit here too much these days.

  12. Galant spotted in Belize!

Hah, nice. I saw one when we were there a few years ago but it didn't look as tired as that one. We're in Vegas this weekend for SEMA...

FWIW, B&M makes a nice oil cooler with a fan and 175* thermal switch. 1/2" NPT ports. Part number 70298.

  17. Brake Master Cylinder for ABS Delete

I did the ABS delete, kept the stock master cylinder (replaced it with a new OEM unit) and never had any problems. I had a Stoptech kit on there for a few years while I was tracking the car and didn't have any issues with the stock master cylinder. Don't go messing with things that don't need...
  18. Brake Master Cylinder for ABS Delete

What will that do to the bias?
  19. NGK Factoid

There should be no risk of snapping a spark plug with or without antiseize if you're only tightening to 20ft/#s.
  20. Coilover + Winter Driving

My Hotbits shock bodies looked like hell after a few winters. I'd suggest hitting the threaded collars near the top of the spring perches with a brush to get the sand out and then spraying some WD40 down there. It'd be nice if some of these kits came with dust boots to cover the damper adjusters.
  21. Decent clutch disc? (any puck or unsprung exprnce chime in)

Colin: email me and I'll see what sort of deal I can get you on a new disc: [email protected]
  22. HOW HARD IS DRIVING TOO HARD

My eyes are bleeding after trying to read this thread.
  23. VR4 Specific Master Cylinder Brace/Stopper??

User "ron" had a machinist friend make those braces for him about 3 years ago. I was lucky enough to reserve one and it made a difference during threshold braking at the track.
  24. Brakes acuated themselves???

Sounds like an ABS issue. One of the wheel sensors could have gone bad, causing your issue. Check to see if they're covered with gunk. As mentioned, it could also be an issue with your electrical system. When one of my Redtop batteries went bad, my ABS light would intermittantly flicker.
  25. brake pads

I used the R4S on mine year round (MA) with good results.
  26. what make is this autometer gauge pic included

Capitalization and punctuation are encouraged on this forum.
  27. T-belt. Arrrg

It should be tough to push in. You keep it retracted with a pin or paper clip.
  28. What gauges to run?

Water temp for sho. The stock gauge in the dash is useless.
  29. Bought the donor car...

    Nice find Colin.
  30. Hotbits with external reservoir

Larry's the MAN for suspension stuff. He was great to work with when I bought my set from him and needed to play with different spring rates.
  31. Drivshaft

Call JNZ and get the yoke rebuild kits (x3) for the u-joints. They also have the carrier bearings for about $60 each.
  32. Where to get Tein stuff?

I can get Tein and would be willing to ship.
  33. GVR4 Vehicle weight roll call (who's got the lightest?!?)

Mine was right around 3K with a full interior and almost no gas in the tank. 4WS/cruise/ABS removed. JDM bumpers. Full aftermarket (heavy speakers/amp) stereo installed.
  34. What BOV are you using?

I never had a problem with my stock crushed bypass valve running 23psi daily for years.
  35. FIC o ring seal question

    So they seal well.
  36. Fidanza or DSS axles?

Never had a problem with Raxles on my car.
  37. FIC o ring seal question

I coat my injector seals with a light amount of blue Hylomar.
  38. What rotors for 5 lug swap?

Quoting Terry Posten: 1993 Eagle Talon AWD.They have the same front dual piston calipers and same size rear setup as well. Only they are 5 lug. That's what I put on my car after the swap, slotted Brembos.
  39. Picture time HPC 2000 coated manifold

I had a manifold, O2 housing and the hot side of my (old) turbo coated. It's worth the money.
  40. Downpipe Flex Section Leaking?

How is that going to affect your passing state inspection Steve?
  41. Throttle body shaft seals

I'm prety sure I've got a set. PM me if interested.
  42. She's gone!

Quoting Besso: does anybody still own a gvr-4 on this board?I own some parts that used to reside on a VR4...
  43. e316g options

Drain the oil, why? I never drained any fluids during the 6 turbo swaps I did in 1788. I liked to pull the exhaust manifold by itself. That gives lots of room to disconnect oil and coolant lines from the turbo and pull it separately.
  44. CMP exhaust, Muffler questions

Stainless Dynomax Ultraflow is what I had and never got a second look from a cop for 4 years. It's a straight through "turbo" style muffler that sounds great and isn't restrictive at all.
  45. New with #1788

To the car's (and my) credit, it never stranded me except for a broken clutch fork (old design) several weeks after I bought it.
  46. New with #1788

    I kinda miss Frank already
