  1. tried joining an evo group and i get shut down xD

fuc-ing evo owners!! What a bunch of asshat dbags. That is fuc-ing gay they are acting that way. But it seems to be the norm with a lot of evo people. They seem to think they are these holy god of car guys because they have a evo. I don't know how many time I have had to edumcate evo dbags as...
  2. 2.3 stroker questions on cam selection, valve springs and intake manifold

I just posted a dyno sheet of my evo with a 2.3 with GSC S1 cams. So take a look at that and it should give you a idea of what a 2.3l is like with smallish cams. Also remember with a 2.3 your rpm redline is moved down because of the pistons speeds. So in my case I rev mine to 7,500rpm with a...
  3. My restoration and build of #1444/2000 - lots of pics and video!

Great vid. Just a fyi. I have broken in a act clutch per their instructions and also put one in and never did their break in. Took the car right to the track about 2hrs after install. Both clutches lasted me the same amount of time. After that I no longer break in a clutch. I just bolt it in...
  4. cam selection

Here is the dyno sheet from my 2.0 3052/HKS272/9.0:1/e85 motor. This motor is now in slugs carDyno slows spool done. On the street with dsmlink logs showed full boost 30psi at 3600-3700rpms
  5. Ecmlink and Ostrich

Just buy ecmlink and don't try and steal it.
  6. Brian Brummell's 1992 Galant VR-4 439/1000

Well forgot to do this a few years ago. Parted the galant out and got a 05 evo This is how I picked it up. Lots of rice of the carbon typeGot rid off all the rice and put it into ski car modeThese 2 pics are what the car looked like the day I picked it upAfter a good...
  7. How much timing advance is safe?

Only way to really know if your at MBT is to put the car on the Dyno and go to town tuning it. Every car will be different. On my galant MBT at peak torque was around 17degs and peak hp was around 23degs.
  8. Meth check list

Make sure the meth kit is working like it should. I would tune it with low timing and low boost. Watch afr and knock. If all is good I would add a little more boost and log again. If still no knock then add some timing and repeat. Keep doing this tell you get some knock. Once you get some knock...
  9. Pulstar Spark Plugs

I have tried lots of plugs over the years and I always came back to ngk. When I got my discovery it had this miss. So I replaced the wires first to see it that would fix it. Nope still has a miss. So looked up plugs and all the disco forms said to use bosch. But all the forms also talked about...
  10. FS: volk ce28n 18x9 +35

Looking to trade or sell. Trade i'm looking for NT03+M in 18x10.5 +30. Selling for $1800 will come with 265/35/18 toyo r1r that have been used for 1 autocross season. I know its a long shot on here but figured I would see if any one is looking
  11. I knew this moment would come

Quote: I picked up an accumulator and was going to use it along with a slave that used a larger diameter piston to slow the engagement point of my old twin. But I honestly don't think it would have improved it enough to make me wanna keep the twin. I don't think I'll ever run anything with an...
  12. I knew this moment would come

Quote: Yea, but that's not the best solution for a DD. Drag car and track cars yes, but I've heard really great things about Southbend single discs. If twins didn't chatter so much I would use it for DD. Plus if your shifting at 9k, your probably making serious power anyway.you can make...
  13. I knew this moment would come

Quote: I'm really curious how much we sacrifice gear set longevity to compensate for poor shifting. It just makes me wonder how well a gear set would do if you have double syncros, a twin plate clutch, and THEN you used a much heavier gear oil because you don't have to increase syncro friction...
